Brought up mostly in central Switzerland in Zug and Lucerne.

Violin and piano lessons at the music school Zug and playing in the  Youth Orchestra of Kanton Zug.

1979 - 1987 Rudolf Steiner School in Baar

1987 first trip to Berlin (East and West)

1992 "Matura" (A Level) in Latin, French, English, German, Maths at Kantonsschule Zug, Switzerland

I originally wanted to study arts but got more interrested in theatre. After 1 year at art school in Lucerne I decided to become a stage designer. As this wasn't possible to study in Switzerland I went to Berlin to check out the universities. I got introduced to the film school in Babelsberg and their course production design. I was very enthusiastic about the former GDR film school in Babelsberg and its potential, atmosphere and historical background and finally got accepted to study there.
In the meanwhile I have worked on a lot of German and international filmproductions in the art departments as an assistant designer and set designer, lately mostly as a set decorator and production designer.
I like doing conceptual illustration, technical architectural drawing as well as decorating sets, choosing props, organizing a team sticking on a budget and scedule. I prefer being a set decorator or production designer.
